Every week we have a family movie night (in fact sometimes we have 2 because we love movies). We always have popcorn, sometimes chips & dip, sometimes treats, etc. This past weekend I let the boys go with me to Walmart to pick out the treats, snacks and movie to watch for that weeks movie. There was a demo for Tyson Popcorn Chicken and once we tried it we had to grab some for our movie night. You can see all about our shopping trip in my Google+ album.
I like to dress things up a bit sometimes to help make family time or movie nights special. I think the kids really like this. I thought it would be fun to make up some Popcorn boxes to serve the Popcorn Chicken in. Let me show you how I made them:
1st cut out a template (you can find some online) or use a diecut template (I used one from Cricut). Once it is cut out fold all of your folds and add glue or tape to the tabs. Tape/secure the tabs to form the popcorn box. I then inked the edges of the popcorn box.
Cutout some tags and put a label on them with stickers or rubons. I put my kids names because my kids just love having their names on things. Didn’t they turn out cute!
We had fun shopping for our snacks
While we were there we saw that we could pre-purchase Fast & Furious 6. I love being able to preorder movies!
The boys did a good job of choosing our movie snacks for the night
All the kids just loved the Popcorn cups I made for the night – after they ate their chicken they used the cups for the popcorn and treats.
Here they are enjoying our movie – we were watching Lord of the Rings again (we have watched this like a million times).
What movie night snacks does your family enjoy?
