Do you enjoy receiving or making cards? I do. I love all of the different kinds of cards I can make and when I receive a handmade card it makes me feel special because I know the person who gave it to me took the time to make the card extra special for me. Today I am going to share with you how I made this Thank You card.
I love working with Stampin Up product for my cards, so that is what I used for this one. Stampin Up sent me the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and Beautiful Brances thinlets to try out. This special stamp set and thinlet comes in a bundle that will only be available for purchase on August 2nd- August 31st 2016. This is the first time Stampin Up has ever offered products outside the catalog so I am excited to have the set to craft with. Let me show you how easy this card is to make.

Here is what the Beautiful Branches thinlits and Thoughtful Branches stamps set looks like – so many fun things to play with!
I wanted to show you what all of the thinlits looked like cut out so I just used the thinlits on some green cardstock to show you how each one looks. You can use a Big Shot or Cuttlebug to cut out Stampin Up thinlits.
So cute, right?
Okay so for your card you will want two of the branches cut out in the green cardstock. I snipped off a piece of each branch to get the exact look I wanted for my card. You will also want two birds cut out of the kraft cardstock and the heart cut out of red cardstock.
For the bird first stamp the bird stamp onto the Kraft cardstock with red ink then use the bird thinlit to cut the bird out. I used a black pen to color the eye black.
We will be using the heart to make bird wings. I like adding a little something to the bird to add dimension. After cutting out your red heart carefully ink the edges with black ink. I like to ink it because it helps with the dimension of the wing. So ink it and then cut the heart in half.
Using a mini glue dot add a half heart to each bird as a wing. I love how it fits perfectly!
Now lets grab the white cardstock and stamp our Thank You Sentiment. First with the green ink I stamped the lines and then with black ink stamped Thank You.
Using mini glue dots and a couple to the steam of your branch but not to the leaf itself. Adhere these to the card.
Add on your birds – I used dimensionals to adhere the birds to pop them off the page a bit.
Then to give it a bit of a 3D look I gently bent the flowers up and in half to lift them off of the page.
I love how this card turned out and can’t wait to make more!
I hope you enjoyed this card! If so be sure to grab the Thoughtful Branches Limited Time Bundle as soon as it is available in August.
