I am always losing everything in my purse. I know in my purse I have a bottle of Advil, pack of gum, hairbands and so many other things but it takes me forever to find anything. My friend shared with me the idea of creating a mini purse to put in my bag to hold all the essential things I need. So I created this mini purse to hold everything I use and it has saved me so much time in finding things.
Isn’t it cute? Before I show you how I made it lets talk about what I put in it. With winter weather here there are a few essential items I need that help keep me healthy:
- Advil Tablet Vial– Use Advil tablets for headaches, minor arthritis and other joint pain, muscle aches and pains of the common cold. Advil is my go to headache and pain medecine. I am busy, headaches run in my family and I can’t let one stop me being a mom. So you can find a bottle in my purse, another in my office, one by the side of my bed and another in the kitchen. If you ever need Advil come one over because I always have some.
- Emergen-C Immune+ Chewables– Immune support. Whenever I feel an itch in my throat or think a cold might be coming on I grab Emergen-C. I love this stuff. I will even sometimes chew one when I am around someone who is sick just to give me that boost to my immune system that I need.
- ChapStick Total Hydration – Advanced nourishing formula with argan oil and avocado butter and rose hip oils. Weather here in the winter can be rough and when it gets cold it is a very dry cold and my skin and lips suffer. So chapstick is something I really need to keep on me.
- Hot Pad
- Snack Size Baggies
- Sewing Machine
- Purse Essentials
This is quick and simple to create. Cut your velcro to the size of your hot pad and either sew or glue it on. Mine was adhesive so that made it easy. *Update – a few times my velcro pulled off the hot pad. So I put a few stitches on each end to keep it in place.
I used 10 Snack sized baggies half opening on one side and half opening on the other. I held them in place with binder clips.
Sew down the middle slowly as the bags can slip. I used a zig zag stitch.
Remove the binder clips and you can begin filling up the bags with all of your purse essentials.
I also added some hair bands, flossers, gum, tissues, bandaids, nail clippers and file.
Everything fits in there nicely. You may have to push the baggies in just a bit to adhere the velcro when closing. But everything fits so nicely and now things don’t go missing in my purse!
I was able to grab all of my everything I needed at Walmart.
