I know that lately I have been sharing Halloween ideas – getting ready for one of my favorite holidays to decorate for. But I actually decorate with a bit of fall in September before I put the Halloween decor up. Today I want to share with you a simple Fall wreath I made along with a roundup of some more Fall decorating/Activity ideas.
I love the colors I used on this wreath and think it is perfect for my front door. Let me show you how I made it!
Supplies Needed:
Wreath Form
Orange Tulle (I used an Orange Tulle that had glitter in it) – I used 1 1/2 rolls of this
Green Ribbon (ribbon with wire is easier to work with)
Wire
Pinecones, acorns, etc. (Just look around your backyard for some pinecones, leaves, etc. or you can buy a bag of pinecones from your local craft store)
Pins, Gluegun, Scissors (not pictured)
Let’s Get Started!
First wrap the Tulle around the wreath form, securing it in the back with pins. In my Summer Wreath blog post I give step by step instructions on how to do this.
Next make a pretty bow from your green ribbon and secure it in the middle with wire. I didn’t think a glue gun would work well on a foam wreath so I secured the bow on the wreath with another piece of ribbon.
Next using my hot glue gun I glued the acorns to right underneath the bow and the pine cones to the tails of the ribbon.
I was able to create this rather quickly and just love how it looks on my front door!
I also created a roundup of some other great Fall decorating ideas – I am loving how creative everyone is!
Have you started to decorate for fall yet?
