As you may already know our family loves playing games together. Every weekend we either have a game night or movie night. I hope when my kids get older and think back they will remember these times and all of the fun and great laughs we had. A really fun game night has a few things that my family considers to them to be essential – great games, delicious pizza and fun snacks – I thought I would share these with you today.
The first thing you will need for a family game night is some great games, of course. We have a closet full of games and I only bring out a few each time or the kids will begin to argue about what to play. I asked the kids what their favorite games were to play. Adison said her favorite is Munchkin (which is a favorite of mine as well), Kayden and Carson’s favorite is Risk. Ryan and I prefer card games like Skip-Bo, Phase 10 or Sevens.
Once you have the games picked out then the next most important thing is something yummy to eat. I want to have something that is easy to cook up so I can be playing the games with the family and not worrying about what’s for dinner. Cooking up some Pizza is always a hit in our home. Everyone in my family (except for Adison) loves pizza – Adison isn’t into anything with a sauce so she usually makes herself a sandwich.
For this week’s family game night I bought some Tony’s Pizza at Walmart. Using the coupon from Coupon.com it made it a pretty good deal. The Tony’s Pizzeria Pizza coupon is SAVE 75¢ on any TWO (2) TONY’S® multi-serve pizzas (11.04 oz or larger) in the freezer aisle offer. This coupon is available while supplies last so go run and print yours before they are gone!! With the coupon I can have an affordable, authentic pizza with a yummy pizzeria taste! The Tony’s Pizza crust was nice and crispy (just how I love it) and the Pizza is topped with real cheese and sauce is made with real tomatoes – so delicious!
Next up on the movie night essentials is snacks and drinks. You can’t go wrong with having a salty snack like popcorn and some drinks. The kids love punch and the coke of course is for me.
Any game night isn’t complete without some sweet treats.
The last essential for your game night is some people! Have a game night with your family, your kids or invite some friends over!! Pizza+Games+People = Out of this world fun!!!
The kids love snacking during the night while we play and we can usually get a couple of games in before the kids start getting grumpy with each other.
For anyone wondering I won this game of Monopoly – Go Me!!!
What’s your favorite games to play with your family? I would also love to hear what your family likes to eat on your game nights.
