“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for KitchenIQ. I received promotional items to thank me for my participation.”
I recently threw a party with some of my close friends. We had lots of laughs, ate good food and I was able to show them how I used some of my favorite Kitchen IQ products. I also shared several recipes with them like my Garlic Parmesan Herb Roasted Potatoes that I am sharing with you today.
I had my little party at my Friend Aimee’s home. I set everything up at her Kitchen bar.
For each of my friends I set up a beautiful piece of red striped parchment paper to act as a place mat and then a mat for when we made our sugar scrubs that would clean up easy.
Today I am going to show my friends how to use several of my favorite Kitchen IQ products. I showed them how I used the Edge Grip knife sharpener, the Potato Tool and the Better Zester.
My friends Katie, Amy and Aimee were so great to come and share some delicious recipes and ideas with me. They are such great friends.
I prepared my Garlic Herb Roasted potatoes for them and we all sat and chatted and laughed while I showed them how I made this delicious recipe. Let me show you how easy it is to make!
Garlic Parmesan Herb Roasted Potatoes
Ingredients Needed:
- 2 pounds of baby red potatoes
- 5 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 and 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- Olive Oil
- Other seasoning you may love – I added Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Spread some olive oil ( 1-2 Tbsp) onto a baking sheet.
Next I used my Potato Tool to clean and cut my potatoes. I really love the potato tool. It has three parts to it – the brush for cleaning potatoes (or other vegetables). The peeler for peeling potatoes and then tucked inside the ergonomic soft grip handle is a paring knife. Which I pulled out to cut up the potatoes. The paring knife and and straight edge peeler are both made of non-stick stainless steel coated blades so cleaning the peeler was super simple.
Place the potatoes on the baking sheet and toss around so the potatoes are coated in the olive oil. On top of the potatoes add your garlic, thyme, salt and pepper grated parmesan cheese then toss until everything is nicely coated.
To get finely grated parmesan I used the Better Zester. I love how it can used for a zester and a grater. Grating with the zester is easy. The zester blade is a stainless steel V-etched blade. It has a Non-stick food approved coating to make clean up easy. My favorite part is as you zest it has a container attached on the back that includes measurements. So it was easy to see how much I was zesting/grating.
Add the parmesan cheese to the potatoes and bake for 25-30 minutes stirring occasionally. While the potatoes were cooking I shared how easy the Edge Grip Knife Sharpener was to use. I knew I would love this knife sharpener as it is a best seller on Amazon.
With this sharpener you can sharpen both Euro and American style knives. This small sharpener has two stages of sharpening, which is very handy. One slot is a Coarse sharpening slot that has carbide blades that can sharpen dull or damaged knifes very quickly. The Fine Slot has ceramic rods that are perfect for finishing or polishing the edge or your knifes. It is also pefect when you want to touch up an already sharp knife.
Once the potatoes were done I served them along side some fruit, spinach dip and chicken salad sandwiches. The potatoes smelled amazing while cooking and were a hit with everyone!
We ended the night by everyone using their Better Zester to make a wonderful sugar scrub. This sugar scrub smells amazing and leaves your hands feeling oh so soft!
We had a great night and everyone was able to go home with a Better Zester, a bottle of their own sugar scrub and some fun memories!
I was glad I was able to introduce them to KitchenIQ as they carry so many products created to make our lives in the kitchen more efficient and easier.
