I just love my families history but have never really had the time to research all of my genealogy. I have kept our own little family history through scrapbooks. Growing up my mom used to tell me so many fascinating stories about people on her side of the family. I grew up loving to hear these stories and have often shared them with my own kids. I really want to put all the interesting stories and info down on paper so my children can enjoy these little bits of history. I also want to research my dad’s side of the family more.
The only problem is I don’t really know where to begin – I feel a bit overwhelmed with all of the info out there. So when I saw that Roots Tech had a educational track for beginners I was pretty happy.
Here are some fun things about my history:
- I have lines that go back to Royal blood in Whales – I always tell my kids that they have Royal blood in them so they need to behave better 🙂
- I am a Daughter of the Mayflower
- I am a Daughter of the American Revolution
- I am a Daughter of the Utah Pioneers
As a part of a way to keep track of my family history I am going to share fun stories here on the blog – mostly for me and my kids but I hope you will enjoy them as well.
Now here is a little info about the Root Tech conference:
