The recipe I am going to share today is super yummy and easy to make. This recipe is perfect to make to bring to a party (perfect for an office party) or to have to snack on at home while watching a movie with the kids. I like to keep all of the ingredients (Plain M&M's, nuts, pretzels, cereal, chocolate chips) on hand because it can be easily and quickly whipped up when you have an impromptu get together with your friends.
Today I made this recipe with Plain Milk Chocolate M&M's but it would be good with Peanut M&M's or even Pretzel M&M's - the possibilities really are endless with all the yummy varieties of M&M's that can be found at Walmart
Ingredients Needed
1 Package of Plain Milk Chocolate M&M's
1 Cup of Cashews
1 cup of pretzels
5 cups of cereal - you can use any cereal you like. Like Cheerios, Chex, etc. This time I used Chocolate Chex
1 package white chocolate chips
1 ½ Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
Step 1 - In a big bowl mix the first 4 ingredients together
Step 2 - In a microwave safe bowl put the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil and microwave on high for 60 seconds, stir microwave another 30 seconds, stir until smooth. You might need to microwave another few seconds if needed.
Step 3 - Pour the melted chocolate on your mix and stir together. Quickly transfer to a wax paper lined cookie sheet to dry. It was pretty cold at my house so it all dried within 5 minutes. Break into small pieces and store in an airtight container.
I needed some treats for a little party this weekend so I filled some cute red paper sacks with my M&M Snack mix and folded over the top. To keep closed I placed a black paperclip on each one - and to make it cute I taped on a piece of cardstock with the word "Enjoy".
I think it turned out so cute!!
