Today I was making some Christmas cards to add to some gifts. I came up with these Merry Christmas cards – these work up very quickly and I just love the red, white and green Christmas colors and the crisp simpleness of the cards. I am planning on make a bunch of other cards in different styles but I really like how these ones turned out.
Merry Christmas Cards Tutorial
I received product from Stampin Up to use in my crafts and decorating. I just love working with their products! Here is what I used:
These supplies are linked to the supplies I used (may contain affiliate links)
- Peacefull Pines Stamp Set
- Oh What fun Stamp Set
- Perfect Pines Framelit Dies
- Christmas Greetings Thinlits
- Wild Wasabi Green Ink
- White Cardstock
- White Cards
- Red Foil Sheets
- Die cutting machine – I used a Cuttlebug because that is what I have
- Adhesive – I used Tape and Mini Glue Dots
To start off stamp some trees in green ink on white cardstock.
In the Perfect Pines framelits there are three sizes of trees. With your cuttlebug use the large one to cut out the stamped trees. Use the small one to cut out red trees from the red foil paper.
I want the look of Christmas lights on the tree. So I used a piece from the perfect pines framelit set to cut out dots from the stamped tree.
Then adhered the red foil tree behind the stamped tree. It looks so pretty!
Using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits I cut out the word Merry from the red foil paper.
Using a Merry Christmas stamp from the Oh What Fun stamp set I put green ink just on the Christmas part and stamped that at the bottom of my white card.
Now Put it all together. Adhere the trees onto the card and using mini glue dots adhere the Merry cutout.
I am adding this cute little card to some treats I am making for some friends. I hope they like them!
