No Churn Turtle Ice Cream

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my discolsure police here.

This month I was challenged to make and share an Ice Cream recipe because today is National Ice Cream Day.  My kids were quite excited with the idea.  I was a bit anxious as I have never made ice cream before.  I was amazed at how easy this No Churn Turtle Ice Cream was to make and my kids are excited to try this ice cream with different mix ins.

No Churn Turtle Ice Cream

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 – 14 oz. can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 Pint Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • MixIns – I used mini chocolate chips, chopped pecans and caramel sauce

The fun thing about this ice cream is you can change up the mix ins.  Today I mixed in things to make this a Turtle ice cream – you could mix in anything like cookies or fruit to get the ice cream you are wanting!

Step 1 – In a bowl stir together the sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla extract.

Step 2 – Put your whipping cream in a bowl and whip until you have stiff peaks.  I whipped mine on high for a little over 5 minutes.

Step 3 – Gently fold your whipped cream into your sweetened condensed milk and it is all nicely incorporated.

Step 4 – Pour half of your cream into a loaf pan.  Add  some mini chocolate chips, chopped pecans and caramel sauce.  I did not measure how much I added – I figure everyone likes there icecream differently.  Add a lot or a little depending on what you like.  Gently swirl the mixins into the icecream.  Repeat with the rest of the cream and chocolate/pecans/caramel.

Step 5 – Add just a  teeny bit more caramel, chocolate and pecans to the top to make it look pretty then cover with cling wrap and stick into the freezer for 6 hours or overnight.

This recipe seriously takes less than 10 minutes to make.  The hard part is waiting for 6 hours for the ice cream to freeze!

With it being National Ice Cream Day I am teaming up with some amazing food bloggers to share our ice cream recipes. ‪So be sure to check out these other amazing recipes
