There is nothing better than watching a fun movie with your friends and some good food! The movie Austenland has just come out on DVD and this is one of those movies I just love – probably because I can’t stop laughing! I received some giftcards from World Market to help plan a fun movie night because they are currently have a #MovieLoversSweeps and I am so excited to share some Party Ideas with you. I knew World Market would have the perfect decorations and snacks to go along with my Austenland movie night theme. I just love how everything turned out for the party!
While at World Market I picked up some really cute things. A beautiful Paisley Floral Table runner. I just love the colors in it! Also I had a white table cloth I was going to use but then I found these crinkle curtains – I know they are curtains but I thought the crinkled fabric would go perfect on the table. No one at the party had a clue that they were curtains!
For decorating the table I bought a gorgeous birdcage – I think this was my favorite purchase! I thought it would be fun to place the sandwiches on. They also had this wooden bird that I thought would be perfect in the birdcage.
World Market has a lot of different Snacks that would be great for a movie night. For my party snacks I grabbed some Pretzel crisps and Swiss Cheese, Godiva Milk Chocolate and a Sour Cream Coffee cake mix.
To go along with the snacks I made some Chicken Salad Sandwiches and cut up some fresh fruit.
We had some really adorable teacup cupcakes (these were the cutest thing ever and were delicious!) and to drink I made some Cherry Limemade.
A special thanks to Shannon for letting us party in her home and letting me use her beautiful dishes – and a special thanks to Mandy for making the cupcakes and goodie bags!
Overall I think everything turned out great! The food was Delicious and the table could not be cuter! The movie was very funny and I had a lot of great laughs with my friends.
At the end of the night I handed out some I heart Darcy bags (Thanks Mandy!) filled with candy – I thought these bags were a super cute idea – and if you have seen the movie you will agree with me!
I think all of my friends had a lot of fun and I can’t wait for another movie night with them!
Apple Cinnamon Cake Bites Recipe
The cake bites turned out so yummy and were so easy to make!
Ingredients Needed:
Sour Cream Coffee Cake Mix (to make the cake mix you also need butter, an egg and milk)
Apple Pie Filling
1 tsp cinnamon
1. Follow the directions on the box to make the batter. I used one of those fun “brownie” pans that you can put the dividers in.
2. Before you put the top crumb layer on you will want to place the dividers into the pan.
3. Mix together 1 cup of the pie filling and the tsp. of cinnamon. Place a spoonful of apple pie filling into each square. It should sink down into the batter – if not help it and push it a little with your spoon.
4. Once that is done top with the crumbs and bake as directed on the box. Let cool and gently pull out the divider bar of the pan.
You can visit World Market on their website to see all of their wonderful products! You can also follow them on facebook and twitter – I like to follow them because they have fun contests and sweepstakes all of the time!

where did you get the Mr. Darcy gift bags. I am planning an Austenland Movie Night and would love to have these.

My cousin made them for me. She bought the bags at a craft store and then used some foam stamps and paint for the words/heart. She said it was super simple! Would you like to see a tutorial for that? I could make one up if you would like.
