Are you ready for an amazing dessert?  I am so excited to share my SNICKERS® Almond Brownies with you today!

Snickers-Almond-Brownies-3

I am usually a nice, kind sweet person but when I get hungry I get what I call “Hangry” – a little bit short tempered with the family and scatter brained.  Often at working if I start feeling hungry I can’t concentrate as well either.  When I am not working I am a busy mom always running places and often don’t have time to sit down and enjoy a a treat.  Sometimes I am even too busy to run through the drive through.  So it is important to keep some things handy in my purse for when I need to eat something on the run.  I often have several bars of SNICKERS® in my purse and they have come in handy for both me and the kids.

However, when I do have time to really make a decadent treat I also like to use SNICKERS® for that as well!  They add the perfect touch to a delicious decadent dessert!

SNICKERS Almond Brownies

Ingredients Needed:

  • Make up the batter to your favorite 13×9 pan sized basic brownie recipe or brownie mix
  • 3 SNICKERS®bars, chopped into pieces
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips or any other melting chocolate
  • 5 oz caramel melted with 1 Tbsp. of water
  • 1/3 cup slized almonds

First make up the batter to your favorite basic brownies.  You can use a recipe or your favorite brownie mix (I like using a mix when I am in a hurry).  Place the brownie batter in a 13×9 pan.  I like to line the pan with tinfoil and spray with cooking spray.  The tinfoil makes it super easy to remove the brownies from the pan.

Cut up 3 SNICKERS® Almond bars into bite size pieces.

Sprinkle onto your batter.  You could just add the pieces into the mix but I like to make sure they are spread throughout the batter.

Bake your brownies according to the package directions.  While your brownies are baking melt your caramel and chocolate.  For the caramel you can place in a pan or a microwave safe dish – add a Tbsp of water and slowly melt together.  If microwaving I cook for 30 seconds and stir and repeat until the caramels are nice and melted together (shouldn’t take longer then 2 minutes).  Do the same with the chocolate chips.

When the brownies are done baking remove from the oven and drizzle/spread on the caramel and gently spread on the chocolate.

Then sprinkle on your sliced almonds.

Let cool and enjoy alone or with icecream!  This dessert keeps me from being Hangry.
