Today I challenged myself to make a scrapbook layout using products I had around my home. I wanted something cute without having to purchase anything. So as I was looking around my home for ideas I spotted some pink tissue paper. My daughter went to a party the day before and I had several sheets of tissue paper left that were not used for the gift. I remembered a technique that I saw quite awhile ago (can’t remember where right now) that made flowers out of tissue paper. It was the perfect embellishment to add to my scrapbook page.
Tissue Paper Flower
- Tissue paper
- Flower punch (I used 2 sizes)
I had 5 sheets of tissue paper together every time that I punched flowers.
I punched out two different sizes and kept the stack of 5 sheets together.
Push a brad through the center of your stack and secure in place. Gently grab the top sheet and scrunch into the middle. Repeat with each layer. Once all scrunched to the middle gently flatten back down.
You can make your flowers fuller by adding more sheets of tissue paper. Since these are for a scrapbook page I wanted them not to be too poofy.
This is such a cute and simple way to add a cute flower to any project you are working on!
Now to finish the pages and add some titles and cute pictures!
