Yellowstone is one of our families favorite places to visit. We try to go at least once a year. We have not yet been this year but have been talking about going. Maybe September? I was going through pictures and found some of our trip to Yellowstone in June 2011 (or it could be from 2010 – I am so unorganized!). I thought I would share some of my favorites from that trip with you today.
Whenever we drive to Yellowstone we take the route through West Yellowstone. Before West is a spring called Howard Springs. It is a beautiful spot and we always stop there to fill up with nice spring water.
On this visit we camped at a site in Yellowstone called Madison. We like to camp here because it is close to the West Yellowstone entrance. We love that it has a river close by and we are able to also see a lot of elk and deer. Here is a deer we saw right next to our campsite.
It is a good way for the kids to get their energy out!
If you have a chance I recommend visiting Yellowstone Lake. It is so pretty!
Back at the camp site we are relaxing and Adison is doing some pouting.
One of our favorite things is to rent a boat to take out on the Yellowstone Lake. It is fun to go fishing. On this trip Adison was the only one to catch a fish. We then went fishing on the shore to see if we could catch anymore – we didn’t
I really hope we can go again this year and build some more awesome memories! Have you been to Yellowstone? What are some of your favorite things to do?
