Birthday Gift Tags with Free Printable

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my discolsure police here.

Birthday Gift Tags always come in handy!  The ones I am sharing today are so cute.  You can print the tags out and easily attach them to a present to make it extra special.  This week I have putting together little birthday gifts for some girls in my church.  I am their Activity Days leader and when they have a birthday I want to give them something a little special.  I wanted to make all the gifts at once so I would have them when I needed them.  I just love how they turned out!

I am trying to encourage them to journal more so I thought a notebook and pen would be perfect.  I think I will probably add a little piece of candy to this as well.

Supplies Needed:

(This post contains affiliate links to show you what I use)

  • Free Printable Birthday Gift Tags
  • Notebooks (I purchased mine at Dollar Tree)
  • Pens
  • Ribbon that matches the notebook
  • Paper Cutter (you can use a paper cutter, scissors or 2″ circle punch)
  • Hole Punch (I love my cropodile – punches through almost anything!)

Let me show you how easy this is to put together.  First print out your Birthday Gift Tags.  The black squares are there to act as guidlines when using your paper cutter.

If you want a circle tag a 2″ circle punch fits perfectly.

For this project I wanted squares.  So I used my paper cutter to cut out the squares.

On each side punch a hole.

Wrap the ribbon around the notebook and run the ribbon through the holes on the tag.

Tie a pretty knot and attach the pen to the ribbon.

I just love how pretty this turned out and I think the girls are going to love it!  I was making 7 gifts so I was able to get 7 notebooks for less than $8 and a package of 8 pens for $4.  I used ribbon from my craft stash so I only spent about $1.71 per gift.  Love how cute and inexpensive it is!
